Timon is a meerkat. Together, he and his friend Pumbaa adopt Simba and raise him. Timon and Pumbaa are a very funny duo. They teach Simba the Hakuna Matata philosophy to help him deal with the death of his father. Hakuna Matata means “no worries”, which is the reason why Simba is so happy with Timon and Pumbaa.
